Rachel Urban (b. 1995 Salt Lake City, UT) is a visual artist and Printmaker. Specializing in a wide range of print mediums, including but not limited to collagraphy, screenprinting, and lithography, she creates combination-process prints and artist books.  In addition to printmaking, her poetry is an integral element in her bookmaking, often in conjunction with illustration. 

 

Her work depicts mystical and emotional realms through a cryptic, enchanting veil. Presented with a certain softness and ambiguity, viewers are left to ponder the dreamy and arcane imagery. 

 

Rachel is a member of Saltgrass Printmakers, where she maintains her studio practice, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of Utah in 2018. Currently residing in Salt Lake City, she is very involved with the local printmaking and creative community and consistently participates in events such as Craft Lake City and the Alt Press Fest.
